Comiskey Park

This south side Chicago ballyard was home to the White Sox. The venue hosted the first MLB All Star Game in 1933. During its later life span, exploding scoreboard fireworks celebrated White Sox homeruns. Legend has it that Babe Ruth would stop at a tavern across the street, in between doubleheader games. It was one of the longest continuing ballparks without major refurbishing. In its last season, a new replacement stadium was visible rising above, even from inside the old ballpark.
