Boston Beehive
Near the Charles River, the Beehive was a name given to the Boston ballpark that was also known as Braves Field. It was in close proximity to Fenway Park. In its prime, the ballpark had very deep centerfield and it was a pitchers park, due to lengthy outfield dimensions. Toward the end of its life span, fences were pulled closer in. This ballyard is where Boston fans watched their last hometown National League team play in the 1948 World Series.
