Arlington Stadium
Starting as Turnpike Stadium for Minor League baseball, it was upgraded for MLB in 1972, when the Washington Senators became the Texas Rangers. It was built with one level and vast outfield bleachers. The ballpark added an upper deck behind home plate in 1978. It had very hard infield, likely caused by Texas heat, and hot weather influenced the scheduling of many night games. It was symmetrical, with average capacity, and primarily a baseball venue.
