Exhibition Stadium
In Toronto, near Lake Ontario, this venue started as a natural grass football stadium, and became an artificial-turf, multi-sport stadium by the time MLB awarded 1977 expansion to Toronto. Its spectator bowl was a hodge-podge of seating, matched more for football. During baseball games, some infield seats were closer to the field, but an extended section of stands towered behind left field and continued away from the field, with furthest seats about 800 feet from home plate.
