LA Wrigley Field
Located in south Los Angeles a few miles from the Coliseum, LA Wrigley Field was given its name prior to the Chicago Cubs park being renamed Wrigley Field in 1926. It functioned as home for Minor League baseball teams up to the late 1950’s. The MLB expansion Los Angeles Angels played there in 1961. Fitting tightly against its surrounding neighborhood, the ballpark had short outfield dimensions, and was a hitters paradise, with overall league homerun records set in that lone MLB season.
