Memorial Stadium
This Baltimore ballpark was close to residences. It staged historic baseball & football championship games. Neighborhood streets had many directional signs that gave road travelers a trail to the venue. Only one homerun ball was completely hit out of this symmetrical stadium, by Frank Robinson over the left field, single-deck, grandstand on May 8th, 1966. When first built, it had very deep dimensions. A closer fence was constructed in the 1950s.
