Sportsmans Park
Along the north side of St. Louis, this early classic ballpark had a large scoreboard in left field and a high screen in front of the right field pavilion seats. While two tenants shared the stadium, the Cardinals eventually stayed longer than their co-tenants, the Browns, who left in 1954. Both teams played each other in this venue for all games of the 1944 World Series. The ballpark was renamed Busch Stadium in the early 1950’s.
